DRUG TASK FORCE DETECTIVES ARREST FOUR
While on patrol in the northwest portion of the parish, the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force encountered four individuals in possession of methamphetamine. Three of the individuals also had outstanding warrants.
The driver of the vehicle, Christopher Scott Bagert, 31, a resident of Sherry Adams Lane in Angie, initially gave officers the name of Christopher Ard. Once he was at the jail, his true identity, Christopher Scott Bagert was discovered and it was learned he had an outstanding warrant from the 22nd Judicial District Court. Bagert was booked on the outstanding warrant in addition to current charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest by providing false information and having no driver's license.
Bagert has been in the Washington Parish Jail seven previous times beginning in 2010 when he was arrested for stalking and assault. In 2011, he was arrested for automobile theft, stalking and domestic violence. This was followed by a 2012 arrest for possession of stolen property, disturbing the peace and traffic violations. In 2013, he was arrested for possession of illegal drugs, driving while intoxicated, failure to appear in court and traffic violations. He violated his probation in 2014 and was arrested for that offense along with an outstanding warrant.
In 2015, Bagert was arrested for theft and in 2019 he was arrested for contempt of court and failure to appear in court. His last previous arrest was later in 2019 when he was charged with contempt of court.
A vehicle passenger, Alton Adams, 42, a resident of Walking J Lane in Sandy Hook, Mississippi, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court.
Another passenger, Wilton T. Grimes, 31, a resident of Robin Lane in Mt. Hermon, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of contempt of court. Grimes was arrested in 2016 for possession of morphine and contempt of court. He was arrested again in 2017 on an outstanding warrant from the 22nd Judicial District Court.
The fourth passenger, Chelsey Hayden, 28, a resident of the Franklinton area, was booked into the jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
"These arrests speak for themselves," stated Sheriff Randy Seal. "Good job, officers. I appreciate your hard work and diligence in removing illegal drugs from our community."
