The holiday season is a time for celebrating family, friends and community.
In that spirit, I would like to thank the men and women of this office for their unwavering dedication, service to, and protection of others. Our employees truly exemplify our code of Integrity, Honor and Service.
Much was accomplished during 2013. We saw the opening of the new Bogalusa office offering a full range of services to the eastern side of the parish. We conducted a large “dead beat dad” roundup and two drug dealer roundups.
Our deputies answered many calls for service throughout the parish and our investigators solved numerous crimes which had been committed against our citizens. Several sobriety checkpoints were conducted at various locations in the parish, resulting in the arrest of those who were driving while under the influence of alcohol.
We focused on increasing the efficiency of our tax collection efforts which are so essential to the continuing operation of many parish agencies.
Numerous training opportunities were made available to our officers, enabling them to perform their job duties in a more efficient manner.
Working together as a team, our staff accomplished much during 2013 and I extend my heartfelt thanks to them.
Finally, I would like to thank the residents of Washington Parish for their support and efforts in helping make Washington Parish a safer place to live, work and visit.
Happy New Year!
