Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Mike Haley has been re-appointed to the Jail, Detention and Corrections Committee of the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA). The appointment was made by NSA President Sheriff Mike Leidholt. Chief Haley previously served on this same committee under an appointment from past NSA President, Sheriff Larry Amerson.
Haley, a lifetime member of NSA, has been active in NSA activities for more than twenty years and is a trainer for NSA. Chief Haley also is a member of the Jail Training Advisory Committee for the National Institute for Jail Operations, a division of the NSA Center for Public Safety.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented on Haley’s appointment. “Many people do not know that our own Chief Deputy is known nationally for his expertise in law enforcement and corrections. He has been a trainer for the National Sheriffs’ Association, the Utah Sheriffs’ Association, the American Jail Association and many other law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. I am so pleased he agreed to come home and be a part of my administration.”
