SHERIFF SEAL ANNOUNCES PROMOTION IN CRIMINAL PATROL DIVISION
Sheriff Randy “Country” Seal announces the promotion of David Cupp to Sergeant in the Criminal Patrol Division, Shift B.
Sgt. Cupp is a native of Franklinton and a graduate of Franklinton High School. Sgt. Cupp began his career at the Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer. He is a graduate of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office POST Academy. He quickly moved up the ranks and was eventually promoted to Corrections Shift Sergeant. In 2013, Sgt. Cupp was transferred to the Criminal Patrol Division. He quickly earned the respect of his peers as a team player and a hardworking officer.
Sgt. Cupp holds numerous law enforcement certifications including, emergency vehicle operator’s course, standardized field sobriety testing, active shooter emergency response training, doppler radar, ethics training for public servants, chemical weapon certification, and firearms certification.
“Sgt. Cupp is an outstanding officer and it was a privilege to promote him to Sergeant in the Criminal Patrol Division.” Said Sheriff Seal.
