Kristopher Allen White, 29, whose last known address was on Mike Fisher Road in Franklinton, is once again behind bars. White has a lengthy arrest record, including Washington Parish arrests for vehicle burglary, simple burglary, simple escape, possession of stolen property, and possession of illegal drugs.
The latest saga with White began September 17 when residents in the Pine community reported their vehicles had been burglarized. A witness reported seeing a small car speeding out of his driveway and was able to give a specific description of the vehicle. Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies saturated the area and were able to locate White at the intersection of Highways 10 and 62. A subsequent search of his vehicle yielded property which had been stolen and several gift cards and credit cards with the names of other persons. White was arrested and placed in jail charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Schedule III Drugs and Driving Under Suspension. His bond was set at $7,500. He was able to meet the conditions of the bond and was released on September 19. Meanwhile, the investigation into White’s activities continued and a warrant was issued on September 20 for his arrest for five additional counts of vehicle burglary.
Washington Parish detectives learned that White had fled to St. Tammany Parish and was staying in a motel there. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, which also had a warrant for White’s arrest, was able to locate White and arrest him on September 20 . He was transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail and is still in custody there. He is being held on St. Tammany charges as well as being a fugitive from Washington Parish and from Pearl River County, Mississippi.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “White is a career criminal who apparently travels from parish to parish and even into Mississippi to commit crimes. It seems his only direction in life is straight to the penitentiary. I am so pleased that our patrol deputies and detectives were able to play a major role in capturing him once again. As always, our officers did a great job. Each of these fine men and women are dedicated to serving the citizens of Washington Parish. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.”
