Alonzo Traylor, 28, a resident of Jones Creek Road, was extradited from Oklahoma and returned to Washington Parish on March 9. Traylor was sought as a fugitive from a February 11 incident wherein Traylor and Tyrell Davon McGowan, 28, a resident of Military Road in Angie, shot at another individual. McGowan was arrested later that day. Traylor fled the area.
A United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force located Traylor on March 1 in Mangum, Oklahoma, and took him into custody. Extradition proceedings were begun immediately and Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies traveled to Oklahoma and returned Traylor to Washington Parish on March 9.
Traylor is in the Washington Parish Jail for Attempted Second Degree Murder with bond set at $125,000. His accomplice, Tyrell McGowan, was released from jail on March 2 after posting a $75,000 bond.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented on Traylor’s return to Washington Parish. “The combined resources of the Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal’s Office did a great job in locating and apprehending Traylor and getting him back to Washington Parish. I appreciate the good work of all of these fine officers.”
