Michael J. Cotton, 66, a resident of 302 Montgomery Street, Bogalusa, was arrested December 11, 2015, by the Louisiana State Police on a warrant from the 22nd Judicial District Court.
Cotton was booked into the Washington Parish Jail for Possession of Schedule III Narcotics and Abuse of Office, with his bond preset at $25,000. He was released later in the day after meeting the bond requirements.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented, “This arrest is the result of a cooperative effort between the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies in the state. Agencies often combine resources to make effective criminal cases. That is what occurred in this matter and we appreciate the cooperation from the Office of Attorney General and the Louisiana State Police.”
